Engineering Technician

In order to qualify at the GS-11 grade level, you must meet one of the following: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At least one (1) full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-8) in the Federal service that provided the particular knowledge, skills and abilities required to successfully perform the duties of the position to be filled (Engineering Technician). Specialized experience is experience applying engineering technician principles in support of building and construction projects, such as facility planning, project design, cost estimation, and/or project management; reviewing plans and specifications; performing technical analyses; and supporting project execution. (THIS EXPERIENCE MUST BE SUPPORTED BY YOUR RESUME TO BE CREDITABLE.) - OR- EDUCATION: Two full years of graduate education or a master's degree that is directly related to the work of the position (Engineering Technician). Education cannot be credited without documentation. - OR- COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: An equivalent combination of successfully completed graduate level education and specialized experience, as described above, which meets the total experience requirements for this grade level.
